iFIT, a connected fitness company that has smart treadmills, bikes, and rowers, announced they acquired ReformRX, a digitally connected smart Pilates company.  The move is an interesting one.  At first glance the machine seems to match the aesthetic of the brand (metal, futuristic, attached screen), however the overall footprint and price do not match the rest of iFIT’s equipment portfolio.

Balanced Body releases a new reformer: The Bravo Reformer.  Touted as the first sustainable reformer, it boasts a frame made of 2000 recycled plastic bottles.  My question is: at a comparable price point as their other reformers, are 4 pieces of wood (which can be sustainably grown itself) replaced with recycled material enough of a value proposition?

The announcement of Oura offering an integration with two boutique fitness chains caught my eye this week: The Sculpt Society and CorePower Yoga.  Have they started to figure out some new algorithms for low impact fitness?  Turns out, no.  They’ve just made Oura data available in the Sculpt Society and CorePower apps.  Womp Womp.
